i know ron isn't a thief, but it strikes me that this - if you have an apple, then you're rich - mentality makes it way easier for people to justify that taking shit isn't a bad thing to do.
i had an iphone that i got when they first came out. i had a job then... i kept upgrading when the time came, because it really wasn't to expensive to do so. when i lost my job, i still had my iphone and even though i didn't have service turned on, i still used it as my computer, my phone book, my pda scheduler, my alarm clock... i could get internet on it when wifi was available and checked my emails at coffee shops... someone stole that motherfucker from me when i was at the occupy camp. it was really hard on me, cause at the time, i had nothing, nada, zip and considered the iphone to be the only thing of value i owned! the vibe there was definitely one of, if you weren't flat broke with no assets, you deserved to be robbed...
i guess that serves me right for hanging out with occupiers.

I found mydeathspace when someone posted on myspace(or facebook, can't remember) a missing person bulletin and I decided to google them and came across a thread on this forum.
At the time, there wasn't that many threads in the missing person thread, so I came back to check sometimes very rarely, then I came upon the very beginning to the Trevor Angell thread, and I got hooked reading that, and been lurking for a while.
Signed up January 2011, but my account didn't work until just recently when I got all the problems resolved.
