Well, I don't have a torn rotator cuff. I have a frozen shoulder. I got a nasty shot of napalm in my shoulder and start PT in 4 wks. It's some kind of crazy thing that happens for no good reason, to women that get to a certain age where they can't look in the mirror anymore. only 6% of the population get this shit and 70% are women between 50-60yrs of age. I feel better already and starting frequent light stretching today. Last week I couldn't touch my forehead and right now I got the arm over my head. Maybe I can beat this shit quick. I read some shit on mayo clinic site that freaked me out. Frozen shoulder takes a long time to go through it's process, but since I feel better I'm more encouraged. I can get 3 shots of napalm in the joint a year. I imagine I'll tolerate it better than I thought I would.

Okay brother and sister noobs. I have been lurking the really old stuff on this site and some of it is priceless. I had some good laughs. I'll be here long after the Jodi show ends. Is it bad manners to resurrect a thread from 2009? I really recommend the off topic stuff, it's a gold mine.

Thanks MorbidT. Hubby is doing great! No pain pills, he hates them as well. I won't be doing them either. We have boatloads of bottles of nasty drugs that I can't bear to throw away due to a fear of needing them someday. I'm an outdated drug hoarder. Man, if I knew how much better I would feel with a nasty shot, I would have visited the doctor a couple months ago. I've watched my husband being in chronic pain over a bad surgery and it literally made me fear having my shoulder looked at until it was causing me to beg family to help me dress.

I'm glad things have improved for you! Now, don't push yourself, missy! Take it slow and don't over do it.

I think the rule of thumb, for old threads, is if you have something to contribute (updates, pertinent info for the thread) to the thread it is okay. If it's just a comment to say how funny the thread is, how dumb someone is, or make other non contributory comments, it is frowned upon. If you have a question, maybe reaching out to admin/mods is the best answer.

I'm a pill hoarder as well. Sometimes, local communities have a 'pill day' where you can take old prescriptions to dispose of. You might also ask your local pharmacy. Just don't flush them down the toilet. That's a good way for prescription medicine to end up in the water supply.

A lot of pharmacy's and police departments have old pill disposals where they will take old Rx's - no questions asked.

Hi Nancy Drew! No, I am just nosy! I was on another site where somebody had posted how they believe she was murdered instead of committing suicide so nosy me just had to Google the case since I had never heard of it and that is how I found this site. OMG, I also found the mothers blog. YIKES!
