Thread: New members, introduce yourselves here...

  1. #13401

Re: New members, introduce yourselves here...

I'm exhausted and I hate introductions and I'm confused, slightly, as to whether this is about food or introducing noobs, but it would feel incomplete to post anything without saying hello first. My name is Vaela, I'm 19, I live in Nashville, I have a consuming obsession with death (I'm on xanax for panic attacks that started after watching Eugene Armstrong's video). I have been obsessed with MDS for at least a couple of years although I just discovered the forums recently because I'm slightly dumb. I have been coming to terms with my own mortality and I have an intense fear of dying, but this forum has been helping my mental health. I punish myself by mourning for strangers, I'm obsessed with seeing the last signs of life on a dead person's myspace or facebook, and the only thing I have ever been more addicted to than MDS is World of Warcraft. My friends don't understand my obsession but I hope to become less crazy by participating here. You guys seem cool.

Welcome! It seems as though you've come to the right place. You might need kind of a thick skin at first, because trolls and weirdos have made the regulars a little suspicious of everyone they don't know. But stick it out and let us get to know you. It's worth it.

Well it had the potential to be about something much more exciting than food if certain members didn't misinterpret the innuendo 'Cunnilingus' as being 'Culinary'....

I know you want to share, but I am just looking out for you. I was just thinking about the girl who posted photo's of her baby with it's bong and got the cops all up in her business. I would hate to see you in jail or worse on Nancy Grace trying to explain your baby roasting.

No, wait you taking on Nancy Grace would be beyond awesome...carry on!

Not about your post. You kinda slipped in there before I got done posting.

This one kinda blew me away because she sounds like she may need a bit more help than MDS can provide.

    Then this one
Well since noobs are spilling their beans, here it goes...

I was homecoming queen, cheerleading captain blah blah blah and all that bs. I'll be 30 in two months (boo), I have always been interested in death, I loved when www.rotten.com was an awesome site and was updated regularly and I loved ogrish.com and goregasm before they both became sellouts to the internet. Goregasm still being somewhat decent though  :2eyesbleed:

I have a couple of kids, my husband and I got married on Halloween. I was going to school to become a foresnic pathologist, I have witnessed death first hand in many occassions, I've seen autopsies etc. My husband and I had a baby passaway 4 years ago and I lost all motiviation to do much in that field. I have become more obsessed with death and learning why my baby died etc, however. I know thats not healthy but pffffh.
The homecoming queen/cheerleading captain part made me go  :| and seemed unnecessary and out of place but then the part about the baby made me

Just more info here than I was expecting I guess.

    Anyway, hi noobs. Welcome.  :2wave:

They do it. It's just that most people don't continue to talk about it when they're 29 years old.

Me too!  Well actually. The pony when I was 5 had to walk.  The parade float?  Well that was Mardi Gras 1986.  Good times.

Ah.  Mine was real.  Nasty little bugger too.  Spent most of the parade trying to pick a fight with the other horses.

I have a very thin skin, so much so that I had butterflies coming back here to see if anyone had responded :( But I like it here. I feel kind of at home around all these people who are as curious about death as I am. I hope I can stick it out.

Your first post scared me a little. I guess if you've been here for a couple of years you can handle it, though. Welcome aboard.

Obviously being noob to this site.  I was wondering if I put a search in and it tell's me I can't search in that forum...

I just saw a story and was wondering what the back ground on it was and figured this would be the place to find it.  But I am not sure how to look for it....I'd appreciate the information.
