Thanks for the Birthday wishes everyone.  This is the Big Five-One for me, officially into the second half century of my life!  :lol:

Although I don't usually celebrate my birthday, Stephen arranged a weekend in Chimay (of Chimay beer fame) with some of my friends this past weekend.  We stayed at a great bed and breakfast, ate great food and drank insane amounts of beer...




toured Chimay Castle where Stephen caught me on film as I tried (unsuccessfully) to steal a chair....



got to sit in a custom made chair that belonged to one of the many Princes of Chimay (aka "The Giant Prince" - he was almost 7 ft. tall)....



and met Princess Elisabeth of Chimay - she is an absolutely delightful lady. 




It was a wonderful weekend and I had a chairy, chairy good time! 

Oh yeah... and don't let anyone tell you things slow down after fifty.  This weekend, it was all about the ass....

I don't think you'd like it Holly.  It tastes nothing like a fruit beer, it's just plain gross.  Like beer with perfume in it or something.  There is absolutely no raspberry taste at all.

I'm not opposed to fruit beers, there are some good ones here in Belgium - primarily Lindemanns.  I'm not crazy over the Bellvue either - altho I downed quite a few this weekend.  For the krieks, this one is my favorite:
