A man accused of breaking into a school district office in Lane County may also be responsible for two other burglaries, the sheriff's office said this morning.
Ryan D. Hershey, 19, of Springfield, has been accused of second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and interfering with police in connection with a break-in at the Bethel School District administrative offices in Eugene. He also faces accusations of burglary at a hair salon and an insurance office.
Hershey was captured after officers were dispatched to the district offices and heard loud noises coming from inside. He allegedly ran from officers and jumped a fence into a nearby back yard, but was captured a short time later.
