Elliott 'The Godfather' Fuentes (35) brought up on on numerous drug charges

Agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration performed an early morning and rude wake up call for dozens of suspected cocaine and heroin dealers on Buffalo's West Side. Agents are touting the arrest of 35-year old Elliott Fuentes who calls himself "The Godfather" on the social networking site Facebook.

D.E.A. Officials told Eyewitness news, Fuentes operated a "well oiled" machine-- leading a large drug operation allegedly dealing heroin and cocaine on Buffalo city streets. Officers said he imported his drugs from Puerto Rico. Arrests are also happening in Puerto Rico today targeting those who allegedly supplied Fuentes with his drugs.

Agents said Fuentes was a colorful character who did not hide his wealth. He refers to himself as "the Godfather" on Facebook-- showing off pictures of cars and motorcycles.

Today's bust is the result of a several month investigation into heroin sales on the city's West Side.

Buffalo Police narcotics detectives and agents from the State Attorney General's office arrested four people Saturday in connection with what they call a major drug supply operation.

Police Commissioner H. McCarthy Gipson says undercover officers made drug buys as part of a five month investigation so they could collar a suspect known as "the Godfather" on the street. Police say he is identified as 34 year old Elliott Fuentes. Detectives also arrested 53 year old Reynaldo Torres, 23 year old Enrique Quairas, and 55 year old Sandra Martinez on various drug charges.

Detectives raided a home at 534 Plymouth Avenue and say they seized guns, cocaine, heroin, and cash as well as several vehicles.

Gipson described Fuentes as a major supplier for dealers on the street. The Police Commissioner says Fuentes' arrest will put a "major dent" in the cocaine and heroin pipeline which operated on the West Side. There is the possibility of more charges in the case.
