have you read everything I have posted here?  Do you honestly think puf would have posted the things I have posted here? puf is pissed that I am here posting and discussing Kellie with people online and he now refuses to answer anymore of the questions I have about Kellie.  And right after he told me how pissed he was at me for posting on this forum he or someone went into Kellie's deadjournal account and deleted me off of her friends list so I could not read her friends posts anymore.

for all I know you might be puf.. lol.. for all i know everyone on posting about Kellie could be puf.. lol.. sorry I shouldnt be being a smartie pants -  I can't blame you really for wondering who I really am.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to insinuate that you were lying or anything. Honestly, both of you could be telling the absolute truth.  The fact is, though, the flip side of what you said is generally more often the case.  People will make up entirely different lives on the Internet to their online friends because they could not know any better.  I'm really interested in if she and puff really were together or not. You seem to believe they were, her friend inr said they were broken up.  Plus his own blog posts about going into "her" room.

I got an e-mail back from Jordan Smith at the Austin Chronicle (she replied almost immediately but we were in San Antonio all day and last night, so I'm just now back home):

I'm guardedly optomistic about this.  She is a really good, insightful writer in my opinion, and I am hoping as she finds out the details she'll want as badly as we do for Kellie to be found (and that the Chronicle would okay an article, etc.)
I'm going to try contacting the Austin American Statesman and the Daily Texan (the UT campus newspaper).
I agree people share different sides of themselves with different friends, on or offline. If you view someone as a mother figure, you might hold some things back .  If you've fought with someone over your boyfriend, you might be really embarassed to go to them and tell them there are still problems with the relationship or that they may have worsened.  VERY few of even my close friends know I attempted suicide over 20 years ago--its not something I want to discuss, and a lot of people have this moralistic reaction--but here I am admitting it here, because it is something Ihave in common with Kellie (and Dazz) and those conversations they had about it make perfect sense to me.
I don't believe Dazz is Puf. They sound nothing alike to me personally.  I never thought he was Rhiannon either.  I think if he came here, we would know it immediately, whatever name it might be under.
We drove past the Waffle House yesterday before going on to San Antonio, and my husband and I agreed, we are 99.9% sure that if Kellie had gone into those woods to commit suicide, she would have been found by now.  The ones right across from the Waffle House are also for sale, and he pointed out what I hadn't thought of...surely there have been surveyors out there with that land for sale?
One thing I keep wondering is, could some casual acquaintance (from the AA meetings, the Waffle House. her apartment complex, etc) have asked her to come to their place to look at a sick animal, or said they'd found some kittens, etc, something they knew she'd go for, and arranged to pick her up at the Waffle House?
I can't recall now where I read this, but somewhere I did read that Kellie and Johnhad broken up or were at least taking some time off and were still living together along with a roommate but had seperate rooms.

I got another e-mail from Jordan Smith and at this time she doesn't feel there's enough to do a story (which I can sort of understand, considering how few facts are known, those sometime conflict depending on the source, and Kellie's family and boyfriend would probably NOT want to be interviewed...)  She was very nice and I appreciate that she cared enough to research the case, and I thanked her for that.
Driving past those woods, I don't believe she is out there.  I could be wrong of course, but I just don't see how in the worldshe could have been out in that particular location for a year and not been found.
It's one year today that Kellie has been missing.  I honestly believe there will be answers to all this someday, but how long it might be, I don't know.

I saw a story tonight on JVM about another young woman missing in Austin, her name is Julie Ann Gonzalez.  It immediately made me think of Kellie.

Julie Ann is 21, a mother of a 2-yr old.  Her family believes that she has met with foul play, but the Austin PD at this point is saying that there is no evidence of such and they believe that she left on her own accord.

I wanted to bring this to spiderlily's attention because maybe there is a pattern here, either of Austin PD not thoroughly investigating these disappearances or perhaps someone targeting young women in the area.

Thank you, Azkarisma.  I missed JVM yesterday and today but I've been following this case in the local media and hoping she is found safe. (There has been a lot more media coverage than Kellie's disappearance recieved at the time...and I'm not begrudging it, I'm glad and hoping it helps). One thing I have noticed...the Walgreens at Stassney and S. First (I go to it frequently), unlike some in town, is open 24 hours.  So in both cases their cars were found abandoned in the parking lot of an establishment that was open 24 hours (and on the south side of town, though the Waffle House is southeast and not close to the Walgreens at all).

I hope they find Julie Ann Gonzalez, I can't help thinking of her children missing her and wondering where their mother is.

Really hope that is not the case about the Austin PD or that someone might be targeting young women in the area. Maybe Julie Ann just needed time away from the stress for a bit, like that woman in California (Nancy Solis)

About that article: How can John say or believe that there was no crime committed?  Even if he didnt have anything to do with Kellie disappearing, how does he know or how can think or say that there was no crime committed?  There is a possibilty that she did not kill herself and there is a possibilty she did not run off to start over elsewhere. Which means there is a real possibility that someone abducted her or harmed her. 

If my boyfriend were missing I would have at least told the writer of the article or whoever the basics so they could do the article.  I give props to that website - and Babz though for doing the article and contacting John for an interview for it.

By the way, I recently contacted the Detecitve on Kellie's case about a few things I wanted to bring to his attention. I also asked a few basic questions, but the Detective said that Kellie's case is still open and specific details could not be spoken of.  I had also asked about media coverage being done in the past on Kellie's case.  Detective said there was some media coverage and a few stories were picked up nationally.  The Detective did not mention what stories or what may have aired where or when though.

If anyone knows of anything that has been picked up and aired nationally (as the detective says) please let me know, I would like to see what was filmed and said etc. and I would like to pass the links on to others if the footage etc. is online someplace.

He'd been doing everything so logically, so right, that when something that had nothing to do with logic, his whole world spun out of control.  If people wonder why he sounds so self-absorbed in his own blog, it's because he expressed sympathy all day, every day, and few people during the event made him feel able to express his own pain.  As well, talking about his feelings has never been his way.  Reasoned, dispassionate discourse on a subject is the only way he knows how to deal with a problem, even if his emotions sometimes slip through. It's a self-defense mechanism called intellectualization, where he distances himself from the emotional aspects of a problem in an effort to avoid dealing with the emotional fallout in a painfully emotional manner.  But he was (and still is) in so much pain.  A visit never passes when he doesn't ask me in those few moments we're alone,"Do you think she's still alive? Do you think she's okay?" I can never bear to give a straight answer, because the pain, the hope, and the need for answers is deep and abiding, and hungry.  Even though he loves his new girlfriend and new job deeply and truly, Kellie is always there, just beneath his thoughts. I spoke to him at a party, around the anniversary of her disappearance.  He'd had a bit to drink. I don't remember if HE remembers asking, but he asked,"What do you think happened?"  Kellie and I, though, we were close.  She was like a sister I'd always wished for.  We shared the same disorder, even went to the same psychiatrist for a time.  She has an abiding dislike of psychiatry, or more specifically, medication.  She had such anger, and bitterness with matters regarding her family.  She didn't often speak of them, and while she was never insulting, she made it clear that she felt they had a bad relationship.  Her family may or may not have had a different view of their relationship, but at least on her end, she never seemed to have a kind word for them.  We had many a long talk, and she helped me get over many emotional issues, work through some things.  Still, she was a girl who often felt trapped, and had a stifled desire to be free of everything.  Whether this meant leaving behind everything she knows to find a new life, one that was what SHE wanted, or whether this meant she wanted to leave life behind entirely... I don't know.  She had both of those things within her. I have no idea.  But I know that John did not do it, and still misses her.  I can't believe it.  I saw this man cry in my living room, saw him drink until he couldn't drive to dull the pain (he slept on my couch that night).  Maybe these things are just too private for him to share.  Either way, over-confidence is the way John deals with uncertainty.  Surrealist humor has always been a trait of his. But he's a good guy, and whatever people might think, Kellie's disappearance touched and changed every aspect of his life.

According to John, MOST of his posts are private.  As for who I am, I'm someone whose name is mentioned exactly once in his blog, and if you're clever, you'll figure it out.  The reason nothing links to that email is because I use that email for signing up for things that I'm worried might come with spam.  Anyway, it's certainly your right to speculate on who I am.  And as for why he might not have posted, he's busy teaching class and grading papers a lot, as well as working on lesson plans. But yes, most of his posts are private because he got a write-up at a job once for a livejournal post that his boss read. In fact, it happened about a month after Kellie disappeared, I do believe.

I don't know.  Probably more about private posts, considering he just recently started this teaching gig (I believe he was previously teaching inner city immigrant children to read and speak english as a second language), so this new gig might have little to do with it.  I rarely see his LJ posts these days unless he's visiting and shows them to me himself.  Anyway, the reason I know a lot about Puf is that I was close to Kellie AND Puf. When they lived closer, we used to make a habit of hanging out and making late nights of almost every weekend.  I miss those days, too.  I know Kellie missed a lot of her friends back home a lot.  She was shy, not comfortable with meeting new people, new surroundings.

Even if they post a private entry, if you click on "archive" a post will show on the date of the private post (unless things have changed recently) but if you click on it, you won't be able to read it. There aren't any posts between April and June 22nd.

I took it upon myself to make a myspace page to help find Kellie.  http://www.myspace.com/540231393  To start out I am adding as many people and bands etc. as I can from Austin, Beaumont, and surrounding areas.  I will be adding people from Chicago area and Cleveland Ohio area as well. 

Why Cleveland or Chicago? because On Help Find the Missing I saw Kellie's aunt posted that she had seen a psychic who had told her Kellie was alive and in the Cleveland Ohio area.  As for Chicago, I recall Kellie's sister and possibly other family members may be living in that area.

Also, one more thing.. was wondering if this myspace profile is John's (aka puff).. anyone know if this is him?  name says Big Nasty (lol).. it sure looks like him, and he was living or staying in Port Arthur area for a while.. http://www.myspace.com/bignasty102.
