Road rage: Man hit by car, shot twice

I have MAD road rage, I also take this route to work every day.  The congestion in the whole area is f'ing nuts.  They're completely reconstructing the highway, it's a brutal ride that takes an hour to go 12 miles.  There's been plenty of times I would have loved to shoot someone.    This guy too obviously....

A man changing a tire on the shoulder of the Tri-State Tollway in the northern suburbs after a traffic collision was struck by the driver of the other car and then shot twice in an episode of road rage, according to Illinois State Police.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

Shortly before 10 p.m., a white BMW sedan and the vehicle in which the victim was riding collided on westbound Grand Avenue, just off the Tri-State (Interstate Highway 94), in Gurnee, state police said.  The collision caused a flat tire to the second vehicle.

Its driver pulled over onto the northbound shoulder of the Tri-State, state police said, and the passenger got out to change the tire. The BMW, which was in pursuit, came up from behind and struck the tire changer.

"The victim fell to the ground, and the driver of the of the [BMW] exited and fired two rounds from a small-caliber handgun into the victim's torso," state police said this morning in a statement.

The BMW, which had red paint from the other vehicle on its right front side, fled north from the scene on the Tri-State.  State police could not provide a more comprehensive description of the BMW and said no one's in custody.

I have a lot of road rage, and a lot of guns, but oddly I never would want to shoot anyone over it.  I do hope they die though, preferably in a flaming wreck.

I just scream at people a lot. If anything, someone is going to shoot me and my yelling, horn blaring ass.

  i've never been one for the whole road rage thing. Usually, I have a pretty bad temper at times (i have countless busted cell phones to prove this.). But on the road, I usually just laugh shit off.

  I don't pass up a chance to yell at people, or  do the whole eye-for-an-eye thing, and cut them off right back.

I think the only time I ever lost my temper was when my mustang was hit and totaled...I stood in the street and shouted "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?" as loud as I could. haha.

Weird thing is when I drove doing deliveries for a living, I had zero rage in the truck.  Just when I got in my own car.

I've gotten a lot better with this. I used to scream at people who had wrecked and caused traffic back ups, I'd tell them to learn how to fucking drive and shit like that. It wasn't right at all.

I had two wrecks exactly 4 months apart last November.  I had not had my new car even six months, it was totaled, my replacement car I had not even had a month or made my first car payment on it.  The first wreck was really bad, and  BOTH wrecks were caused by carelessness from other drivers.  I really pay much more attention to other drivers now.  I get scared driving and have flashbacks when cars get to close to me.  Nothing infuriates me more now than stupid ass drivers putting MY life in danger!

Recently, I made a conscious decision to stop using my horn. I have nearly been run into multiple times... And it's to the point where i am done warning people, and would love to collect insurance and get a new car. :-D


  I was almost sideswiped by an SUV the other day, But he saw me before he hit me. :lol:

Trust me, if you are even in an accident like I was...you will avoid them at all costs, I can't describe the feeling of losing control, spinning across the interstate, and almost flipping over the guardrail.  The only thing that stopped me from flipping and going over the rail was the rail impaled the car, when I bounced back down I skidded back across the interstate, in RUSH hour mind you, thank God I only got hit by one car......but I will never forget that feeling..or the asshole who caused it all fleeing the scene!!  He came forward the next day, not cause he thought he might have killed someone or something..NOOOO...his cowardly ass was sure someone had is license plate number!

I always make the people I ride in cars with drive nice because I read a story about some raging jerk throwing someone's family dog into traffic. If there are no dogs in the car and I'm the smallest living creature? Yeah... No tailgating for me.

I'll admit I can suffer from bad road rage. I'd never try run anyone off the road or anything like that, I just give them the bird and a fuck you fuck this fuck that. If someone is tailgating me, I'll tap my break to warn them.
