MT. MORRIS, Mich. -- Four years after a Mid-Michigan teen's body was found in an empty Mount Morris Township field, a suspect has been charged.

Bar’Ontay Bradshaw, 16, disappeared in 2005, and nearly six weeks later, his body was found in a field. Police said he had been shot to death.



Now Dantrell Conerly, 20, has been charged in Bradshaw’s death. Police said they believe the two may have had a fight leading up to the shooting.

Genesee County authorities have charged a 20-year-old man with murder in the 2005 shooting of a 16-year-old high school classmate.

Hunters found the body of Bar'Ontay Bradshaw in woods behind Flint Northwestern High School. It's in Mount Morris Township, about 60 miles north-northwest of Detroit.

Prosecutors have charged Dantrell D. Conerly with felony murder, armed robbery and having a firearm in a felony. He faces automatic life in prison without parole if convicted as charged.


Township police Sgt. Scott McKenna tells The Flint Journal the two attended school together and may have quarreled.
