I'm watching this 20/20 special on Heaven, and it seriously makes me sad. I know some members here are religious, so I'll start off with saying I don't mean you. Anyway......It makes me sad to see people sitting there and falling for these snake-oil salesmen. It all seems like such a big con. They basically sell you a product that you never get.
I mean a grown man was sitting there talking to Barbara Walters telling her about this magical place where all her loved ones are going to be.
And it's great and good and magic.... This shit would be cute coming from a 5-year old, but not someone who is 55. It's seriously psych ward shit to me. I just DO NOT get it.
And then they speak to a Mormon and ask if someone isn't Mormon, do they get in. And they asked the Evangelical the same thing. This is something else I don't understand about religion. If you really,
really believe in your religion, don't you snicker under your breath thinking everyone else is wrong?
Now they're talking to this woman who's saying that children need to hear these things about an afterlife to make them more comfortable about death. But I'm asking why do adults need to believe this too?
