LAKE VIEW TERRACE -- A 6-year-old girl has died after she was struck and pinned against a brick wall by a pursuit suspect's speeding car in Lake View Terrace.
The pursuit began around 6:22 p.m. Thursday when police responded to a report of a man with a gun, Officer April Harding of the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The suspects tossed two handguns out the window during the brief pursuit, police said.

The child was transported to a local hospital where she later died of her injuries.

Immediately after striking the child, police officers say the suspect and the three people inside the the vehicle fled, scattering throughout the neighborhood.
