Another case of senseless violence. Remember the times when fights were settled with fists? Seems like Joseph got into it with someone at a party, they called their friends in, one of whom (Markieh Thompson) had a gun.


This is very sad, looks like Joseph was quite a guy.

His mother found MDS on google, and posted in the myspace memorial thread, looking for the article on her son, so I will send her a link to here so that she can, if she chooses to, talk about her son or whatever will give her comfort.

On behalf of MDS, we are very sorry for your loss. I've started a thread for your son so that you can talk about him if you'd like.  Many other family members end up here and for some of them it seems to help.

I'm amazed at how people think they can just carry guns around and then shoot someone whenever they see fit. I wonder if these guys feel compelled to use their guns whenever there is a problem since it is such an easy and simplistic way to handle a dispute. I'm also amazed at how they can do all this with complete disregard to how severely they are going to fuck up their futures.

Also, taking a gun to a party is a bad idea to begin with. You are supposed to have fun at a party, not kill people. And guns and alcohol are obviously dont' mix. Maybe the logic is that since there will be a lot of people around, you are MORE likely to need a gun. But if you're the type that goes looking for trouble, then that is a self fullfilling prophecy.

Every party I've ever been to I could've found some justification to shoot somebody. I mean, what actually instigated the dispute that led to this shooting? Probably something completely retarded.
