Don't burn yourself on those virtual flames!

I bought a new range 2 years ago. Not quiet that fancy, but fancy enough. Mom's caregivers still fear it. They use my little old toaster oven if they want to bake anything, they will reluctantly use the cooktop, but yeah. I don't have the iphone control, but can do diagnostics with my phone... Maybe use the phone to start preheating or something?

Over the past month, all four of our kitchen appliances petered out on us - first the dishwasher, then the oven, then the microwave, and finally the refrigerator - it was like a sign from the Kitchen Gods. They were old and we planned to replace them all next year anyway, but they had other plans. Seriously though, I had no idea appliances were so expensive and so technologically advanced. Where the hell have I been???

Granite countertops for the new rent house. I have been holding my breathe, waiting to see them since I ordered them back in December and wasn't sure about the color with the cabinets we put in, but I am really happy. Now I am going to tile the backsplash today.

Seriously! When we moved into our house a few years ago, we needed to get a fridge and a washer/dryer. Luckily my in-laws are awesome and gifted those for us....I couldn't believe the prices! No way I would have been able to afford that.

Oooh, don't we still have a Home Decor thread here? You should post a picture when it's done, RBW.

Right? This smart refrigerator was on sale (regularly $4k) and it blew my mind (3 interior cameras? Streaming music? Photo albums? Message board?). I didn't get this one because I have other devices to meet those needs. Never thought to go to my refrigerator to view family photos, I just really need something to keep my food cold and supply me with a steady stream of ice cubes.

My kid made me buy a few cases of gatorade for corona. And I also bought 300 more rounds of ammo for corona.

Welcome! Yeah, would be smart for people to be prepared to not go anywhere for a while if they can.

Cerviche is delicious. It is kind of cooked, but with citrus juices to "cook" the flesh.

Kind of cooked wont work for me, I need it fully cooked maybe even burned. Its all in my head but I cannot and will not ever eat raw fish. Not even kind of cooked fish. Must be cooked.

I bought gas for cheap. That was one good thing. It was cheap by CA standards.

I bought groceries, and was convinced that they double charged me. I walked out with sodas and a couple of bags and it was almost 70 bucks. I didn't even buy meat. The cheapest eggs (and I was happy to find them in stock) were $3 a dozen for medium size eggs.

I bought a guitar. Online, of course. I figure if I'm stuck at home, it might be a good time to learn how to play the damned thing.

Lots of free time to learn. Enjoy your new purchase.
