An 18-year-old Gloversville woman has been charged in two separate arson incidents beginning in October of 2008.

Police say Stephany Hayes was arrested for a fire that occurred at 10 Prospect Place on January 15th 2009. An investigation revealed that she intentionally lit cardboard and garbage on fire in the back hallway of her apartment building. She then returned to her apartment and let the fire burn before alerting other residents of the blaze.

During this investigation police discovered that Hayes was also responsible for a fire that occurred in her previous residence, 118 Spring Street, back in October 2008. In this incident police say that Hayes lit fire to a notebook and put it under a pile of clothing and then left the apartment. This fire completely destroyed the apartment building.

Hayes was charged with two counts of arson and two counts of reckless endangerment.

She apparently has pictures of the fire on her myspace, so the search is on!
