An Orlando man has been charged with breaking into an acquaintance's home, raping her, holding her captive, and threatening to kill her.
Jonathan Libby, 44, was booked into the Lake County Jail this afternoon on charges of sexual battery, felony battery, aggravated assault, and false imprisonment. He is being held in lieu of $500,000 bond.
The victim told investigators that Libby left her Clermont home after the two argued on January 25.
Early the next morning, she awoke and found him standing over her bed. Over the next six hours, Libby raped her, beat her, held broken glass to her neck and said he would slit her throat, threatened to inject her with enough narcotics to cause an overdose, and told her he was going to wrap her body in a sheet and duct tape and dump it in Cocoa Beach, according to a probable cause affidavit.
The victim's ordeal ended when her mother arrived. The victim convinced Libby that she was not going to notify law enforcement, and he allowed her to leave with her mother. The two then went to South Lake Hospital, where she reported the attack, according to the affidavit.
While investigators were speaking to the victim, Libby called her. Investigators listened as the victim confronted Libby, who did not deny that the incident occurred, but apologized for it, according to the affidavit.
Libby was arrested on charges stemming from the incident in Orange County on Friday.
