I had never heard of it either before today. They don't know that she has it, but they said it's a possibility if she continues running fever. They said if she isn't better in 10 days they will do a joint tap and look at the fluid. I am hoping it doesn't come to that. The vet said it's rare for Chows, but they can get it because they are so closely related to Shar-Peis, but I don't know. I am just hoping it's just a soft tissue problem and she gets better in the next few days.

I'm so sorry Puzz. He was such a handsome boy, and I know he had a wonderful life with you!
Sky's limp is back. FML. To be fair, it never went 100% away...maybe like 95%, but she was bearing weight on it and doing normal activities. Now she is back to holding it up and not using it. I don't know what to do.
No, it looks normal, she is just limping. I have her on super restriction today, she is basically just resting today. I am hoping she just tweaked it and she will be better soon, but I hope this isn't an on-going thing...especially since we never really got a definitive diagnosis. I hope it's nothing serious like a tear.
Thanks! I did the bendadryl last month, but so far this month I am just keeping her in our master bedroom suite, away from the other two. She loves to be in there and snooze anyway, so when I close her in there by herself she is quite happy and just chills. She did get antsy to go out and play with the other two last night, but I just put them outside and brought her in the main part of the house and gave her some of her favorite treats and she was ok. Chows tend to be kind of lazy and chill in general, kind of like big cats, so I am just encouraging that, lol.
