awww that's too cute!! I'm so curious to see how my furbaby will react to the new human baby arriving here shortly. I've already been working with her as best as I can, I hope there's no "sibling rivalry" :)

There isn't much you can really do. We have two dogs - the purebred black lab in that photo and also a Lab x Border Collie. My husband took home a wet diaper from the hospital so that they could get used to the baby smell. The lab is really curious about the baby and always comes to investigate. The cross puppy doesn't want to have anything to do with her and was also a bit funny with me when I got home - he didn't want to have much to do with me. But he is slowly getting better. They are very gentle with her - it's sweet.

Yeah that's what we're planning to do; my husband will bring home the baby blanket they wrap him in before I even get home with the baby so Sadie can get used to his smell. I've been taking her for walks with the empty stroller so she can get used to it (my neighbors probably think I'm nuts). I know she'll be great with the baby, she's such a sweet pup, I just don't want her to feel neglected/left out.

My cat has been missing for a week. I'm fucking devastated. I've been holding out hope that he's okay but my mom this morning at work said she thinks he's gone. It made me break down at work and cry. I really need for him to be okay. He's my baby.

He's gone out for a few days before (and I always freak out ) but that's like 3 or 4 days. he's never been gone this long. I want to look across the street but it's the neighbors yard and they'd probably think I was weird.

Ehh it's rural but there's no coyotes. There are mountain lions across town but they couldn't get to where we are. And the neighbors across the street are methheads so that's why I won't ask them. They scare me. There's a giant field/park right beside our complex. He usually goes and plays there but I went and looked and didn't see him. I might wait until night time to go look again because he doesn't like people so he will hide. I hate the kids around here too. Their parents let them run around and do anything. I got off work the other day and saw one little boy trying to kick my neighbors dog. I screamed at him. I'm always scared that they will find my cat and hurt him. :(

And even if something is wrong and he's not okay I want to find him anyway you know? I don't want his little body out there.

I put food out yesterday and it was gone today. I also put one of my dirty socks out there. I read if there's something of your scent it'll help them come home. Anyway, I want to get a trap and put the food in it so if it is him I can have him back. I miss him.

This may be a long shot, but have you called your local pet rescue, or went by there? He may have been picked up.

Yeah I went to the humane society on Saturday and left his description. It made me cry because I wanted to take home all the animals. haha.

No. :( I still put food out every night and change the sock too. I think he's gone (not dead) but like someone took him. If he was dead I would have found his body by now.
