Now we're going to have to put her on a very expensive food for a month and 3 weeks of antibiotics as well. The food is 120 Euro for a 10kg bag and 4 euro per can of wet. It's only for about a month to break down the crystals, but fuck that's expensive. The only good news is that she thinks we should just remove the tumors and send them for testing to see if they're cancerous which will be about 500 Euro total. Still not cheap, but nowhere near what they would charge for that in America. This is literally breaking the bank right now. I just want her healthy. It's not fair that she's gone through such a hard life and then the trip over here just to be suffering like this.
Do you happen to know what type of crystals they were?

No, I don't know. She said that they were thankfully the kind that could be treated through diet instead of surgery though.

    Puke. You've killed the thread.
Let's see if I can get it started. Mom's caregiver has this 6 mo Yorkie pup, Coco. Nice little dog, scared of nothing and no one. She's been bringing her to work with her. Mom enjoys her and my homewrecker Zena loves her. They play so well together. So anyway... The other night, I came home from work, fixed myself a plate, and sat down to enjoy the special election day Jeopardy episode. I'd eaten some veggies, and some potato, and was just getting started good on a nice piece of steak. Yummy. When... out of nowhere, came Coco the flying squirrel. Landed smack in the middle of my plate, and food flew everywhere. The starving canines descended. We managed to rescue the steak, and divided it up among all the dogs to have with their dinner, so everydog got a bite, but no one was stuffed.

    Coco, you owe me.

Poor Puzz didn't get her steak. Bad Coco! (you know all of the dogs put her up to it because they knew they would all get some!)

I'm honestly a little worried for her. She has NO fear. Flings herself with no thought that she's little and might break, so yeah.

Its probably just her impulsive puppy brain. She will eventually learn her lesson after something happens. Hopefully nothing bad, just a scare.

I hope so. But it's yet to be shown that she has one. A brain. No that's not fair. She's really smart. Just no sense. So fingers crossed that she doesn't outrace her guardian angel.

Everyone, please send the good energy to my Angel today. She's having an ultrasound and the news could be either Bladder Stones or Bladder Cancer. I'm a mess at my desk today with worry

Bladder stones are way more common than bladder cancer. What are her symptoms?

She keeps getting UTIs that won't go away, crystals in get urine, some blood and rare bacteria that is antibiotic resistant. The usual symptoms that come with UTIs as well. We've been battling this for months now. She's on a strict UT prescription diet and she's done rounds of urine tests and antibiotics etc.

Today she had the ultrasound, blood work and xrays. The good news us that it's not Cancer. The bad news is that it's an enormous kidney stone. It's 3cm big and her kidney itself is only 4cm. Given that we've had her on this strict diet and it hasn't broken it down at all, it's a specific type that can only be treated by removing it surgically. She needs to see a specialist and the only two in Ireland are in Cork and Dublin. Both are hours away. Estimated cost will be 1-2K. I only make about 27K before taxes. This is an astronomical cost by ROI standards. For instance, her ultrasound, xrays, blood work, sedation, nails clipped (might as well if she's sedated), Cytopoint and two prescriptions only ran me €280. So this is a serious deal and huge operation she's going to have to undergo. I'm going to get more details in the morning from her vet. I don't know what we're going to do, but we have to make this work. I feel horrible because she must be in so much pain and we didn't know it. She hides it well.

I'm grateful that it's not Cancer. We just need to win the lottery now.

Thank you for sending the good energy. It worked. It's something treatable
