My very 1st pet ever, Pebbles, died last night. We've had her since I was about 12/13. Brought her home from the ASPCA and she took her very first nap cuddled inbetween my head and chest, across my neck. She was an amazing watch cat. Would litterally run to the front door whenever someone knocked or rang and would hiss, growl and almost what sounded like barking. Lol. She wouldn't let anyone but the four of us near her.. Attempt and she'd bite, growl and smack with her paws violently.
Anyways we got her about 17 years ago. She started to go blind and lose some other senses about a year ago. 17 years ain't bad though for cat. R.I.P Pebbles

I wish Chloe could do that. She feels the same way about sunlight that Ron does. If it's sunny out, I either have to get up early to run her, or wait till dusk. It's funny because I'll bask on the balcony till the sun sets, then we trade places and she basks in the moonlight. Friggin little vampire.

17 years is awesome for a cat. I'm glad your family and Pebbles found each other. Do you know what happened to her? Or did her age just catch up with her?

It's all Punkers fault but I found out last night that Daisy has a friggin ear infection. I was petting her and noticed it was oozy so I turned on the light and she has clear liquid draining from her ear and it's kinda sticky. So I put her on the bathroom counter and clipped some of her ear hair, washed her ear up and took a few Qtips to see what was in there. It doesnt really smell and omg, I was so worried she was gonna yelp if I messed with her ear but she laid there like a trooper. Actually, I think me rubbing the inside of her ear felt good.
So I just used the meds we had for Chevy's ear infuction and so we'll see if that clears it up.
But the second that bitch starts stinkin, im showin up at Punkers house and dropping that damn dog off.

Thanks though, guys. I'm not too broken up about it. 17 years is a long time. Plus the last few years she barely seemed to recognize me and would hiss and growl when I'd come home. Honestly, and this may sound silly, but I think she resented me for moving out and leavingIt was like, "FFUUUUU for abandoning me here with the two old farts

I would say that animals don't hold grudges... but roomie had this cat when we moved in together. Most unpleasant "domesticated" animal I have ever encountered. Just nasty. He liked to hide under the toilet and hisssss when you went to sit. Anyway. He loved roomie and our friend Natalie. And if he had to choose Natalie was his favorite. That nasty cat just turned himself inside out for her.

One day Nat came over and Sport was doing his usual I love you, no one here understands me routine, when Nat noticed he had a weed stuck in his tail fur. She pulled it out, pulling his tail... just a little. Not much at all. He gave her "cold fur" for the rest of his life. He didn't greet her. He didn't let her pet him nothing. So yeah. Some cats are like that.

Mocha went to see the vet yesterday. All of a sudden he has taken to peeing in the house. He has been good for more than a year.
So before I sent him back to canine boot camp I wanted to make sure he didn't have a UTI or something. $300 later, yeah he has something going on but we don't know what's causing it. Take these pills and come back next week with your checkbook for a follow up.

I remember when we took Sophie for her first puppy shots she was so mad at Becky afterwards. She wouldn't go near her. When we got home we went for a walk and Becky had her on the leash and Sophie stretched it out as far as it would go and got as far from her as possible. Becky was almost in tears because her new puppy wouldn't come near her but it was hysterical. She got over it.

I don't know where my dogs are. I thought they were probably sleeping somewhere and I was just going to put them in the other room because someone is stopping by and I can't find them. I remember letting them in from outside earlier I think.
Oh, nevermind. Just realized Denny is sleeping downstairs so they are probably with him. I called down the steps and they didn't answer earlier but they're probably sleeping.
