You should come to Chicago when this movie comes out and go see it with me.  Nobody else will, not anyone that'll be as excited about it as I am.

I'm still holding my breath to see who's gonna be cast as Captain America in the movie set for 2010.  Then, the Avengers is gonna come out so they have to cast Hawkeye, Pym, and the Wasp - which makes me nervous since those are the characters I've been following since I was a kid.

I was so relieved when I saw the casting for X Men. I had my reservations about some of the changes, (I always felt that Rogue was slightly older in my head) but I was really pleased overall.

Nightcrawler was cast perfectly.

Beast I was uncomfortable with.  The Beast has been one of my favorites since way back, but all I could hear when he spoke in the movies was Frasier.  I tried to get by that because Kelsey Grammar was perfect for the role but it was tough. 

I don't know if you remember Marvel's Evolutionary War from way back in the late 80's, but The Avengers part (the finale of the storyline) was one of the best Beast depictions I've seen.

I could not even watch Constantine because of that fucking DREADFUL Keanu Reeves, and that pissed me off because I love that shit.

But Nic Cage for Johnny Blaze, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I must say Peter Fonda troubled me, but for Easy Rider notoriety and overall performance, it won me over.

That's why I worry about a move adaption of Sandman.  I know they're going to do it eventually, but I don't know if it's something that should be done.  There's far too much involved that would have to be included in the film for it to work, let alone the casting.

It might make a good TV series, if they put it on a cable network.  But, I can't fathom who would play Death.

i honestly casting ryan reynolds as deadpool in this new movie is a brilliant idea, this movie will be so god damn cool. and they are finally adding gambit to the mix

I don't know, TV series usually means lower budget. Sandman NEEDS to pull out all the stops.
I can ALLLLMMOOOSSTTT see Michael Madsen as Dream, but he would have to seriously curtail his accent and lose about 30 pounds. At minimum. He is tall enough and the age I picture for Dream.

I don't know, dude.  I'm the original online Hawkeye.  That was my internet handle for almost 13 years.  :lol:  I even got pretty good with a bow because of him.  :)  Yeah, I'm a dork.

Still, though, who would you cast as Clint and Bobbi?  And what storyline should they do with him?

The Hawkeye limited series by Gruenwald was pretty good and would make a decent film if they tweaked it a bit and threw in some different villains.   The Solo Avengers storyline of him going up against the LA gangs was pretty good, too.  I wouldn't mind seeing them turn that into a film because I think that 6-issue story really captured the essence of his character.

Yeah, it would really only work if it were a series of films.  But they HAVE to, and I mean HAVE to do the story in "A Game of You."  (Yeah, I have all the trade paperbacks and not the issues so that's how I know them.)

we have something in common, i took up archery wen i was younger becuz i wanted to grow up and be a hero just like hawkeye lol

hmmm if i got to choose the cast for clint and bobbi... i would cast hmmm i honestly dont know, i mite look into that and sugest it to marvel lol

i reckon the best story line would have to be the begining of hawkeye, trying to make it as a hero but being mistaken for a villian. then towards the end of the film iron man appears and gives him that chance to join the avengers... which would be the avengers sequel. then hawkeye could have two more sequels by himself, one where he falls in love with bobbi and tries a solo carrer and then the third movie were bobbi dies dies and he loses it having an identity crisis and becomes ronin at the very end of the film... or at least hints to becoming ronin

I think they would have to get someone unknown to play Death, bring her in like they did in the Harry Potter movies. So when you first see her, she IS Death and there are no other connotations with her. Tori Amos is too old to play Delirium nowadays. A younger Alicia Witt. But even she's not exactly right.
