Brian Crabtree - raped and beat to death a 3 year old girl

LEX 18 has learned that a three-year-old girl allegedly raped and beaten by an 18-year-old man last week died Wednesday at UK. Hospital.

Brian Matthew Crabtree is currently charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree assault in the incident, which police say happened on November 26 at a home on in the Cummins Court area off of Versailles Road. Court documents say that Crabtree admitted that he raped the girl as well as dropping her several feet to the floor.

The child was originally taken to St. Joseph East Hospital, but was soon transferred to UK Hospital, where she died Wednesday from her injuries.

Crabtree is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center. Charges against him will likely be upgraded to murder.
