Policewoman arrested for 'helping son' charged with the murder of WAG Amy Leigh Barnes
By Daily Mail Reporter

A policewoman has been arrested for allegedly helping her son who is accused of murdering teenage model Amy Leigh Barnes.
The woman, an officer with West Midlands Police, was arrested on suspicion if assisting an offender on the day her son, Ricardo Morrison, 21, appeared in court charged with Amy's murder.
The 19-year-old part-time model and actress was stabbed to death on Saturday at her home in Bolton, Greater Manchester.
Morrison, an amateur footballer and aspiring professional, appeared in court charged with the murder of his glamour model ex-lover who was killed in a frenzied knife attack at her home.
He wore a dark blue sweatshirt and nodded to confirm his name and date of birth, but did not speak during the brief hearing at Bolton Magistrates' Court where he stood accused of murdering 19-year-old Amy Leigh Barnes.
Two years ago, he worked as an assistant coach at the Birmingham's Brazilian Soccer School, part of a network of academies teaching footballing skills to youngsters.
He was photographed standing alongside Brazilian football legend Carlos Alberto Torres, captain of the World Cup winning side of 1970.
The photograph was taken in August 2006 when Torres visited the city to help coach budding soccer stars aged six to 16 from across Birmingham in the Brazilian-style ball control.

Ian Lowndes, who had recently taken over the BSS, said he did not know Morrison and added that he was no longer involved in the organisation.
On a MySpace page last used in November 2006, Ricardo Morrison listed his occupation as a 'kiddie football coach'.
Privately educated, Miss Barnes had modelled for Cosmopolitan and Nuts magazines and had appeared in Channel 4 teen soap Hollyoaks.
Police were called to her house in Bolton on Saturday evening following reports a woman had been stabbed.
She was taken to hospital but died later. A post-mortem examination confirmed she died from stab wounds.
More than 2,500 people have joined a Facebook group in tribute to the model and actress.
A number of her friends and professional footballers, including Premier League striker Benni McCarthy, have spoken of their devastation at the teenager's death.
The footballer was remanded in custody until November 19.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police confirmed the 49-year-old woman arrested was an officer serving with their force.
