I don't even know who most of those bands/artists are.

im not gonna lie, thats a horrible list :x

I totally disagree although I would argue about the order. the Libertines Up The Bracket and s/t are fantastic. That Strokes album revitalized the NYC rock scene.
And Ryan Adams' Gold and Johnny Cash's The Man Comes Around are ammmaaaazzzing.

Was Heartbreaker in the 90's? I prefer that to Gold.
The Man Comes Around is great but definitely not my top 50 of the decade.
Not going to lie I could never really get into the Libertines. Saw Doherty in concert and he was great, just not into the music so much. Also Babyshambles was horrible IMO and I think they just added it because of him

Whoa. I think Babyshambles is amazing and Fuck Forever is one of the only real punk songs that's come out in maybe fifteen years.

With neon headbands, funky synth melodies, and jokey anthems about living fast and dying young, MGMT danced their way from Wesleyan's dorm rooms onto our iTunes playlists -- and were awarded with a pair of Grammy noms just last month. This spring the duo will release their second album, Congratulations, and singer Andrew Vanwyngarden has a warning for fans: "It's definitely going to shock people.
Blah I wanna know about when the new Klaxons comes out.
I'm looking forward to the new Arcade Fire coming out in March I believe.
That list definitely has a UK slant which isnt surprising with NME, just glad there isnt any Animal Collective on there, that is one band I just cant stand.

Me too.
Some people here will tell you how much they suck, But I love them. They make good music
I like the Arcade Fire. I don't pay attention to their girl singer though. I know Bowie doesn't like her but I've really never noticed her in the songs.

At least write something new
I am probably the only one who thinks this, but the new Weezer song sounds a lot like the Band Aid commercial. :|

"I am stuck on band aid brand" is all I hear.
Hhmm. Maybe MBS and Bowie can get into another insanely funny argument again? :-)

I won't lie. I'm one of the 1/2 million people that bought a copy last week. But man, the banter between you two just cracks me up.
Listening to XM U today, heard the new New Pornographers song, and I have to admit to being disappointed on first listen. Comes out May 4th as of now
Please let it be good. Please let it be good 100th window was such a let down. it's been 12 years since Mezzanine

I've got about 3/4ths of the album but haven't listened yet. I'll play it while I'm on here. Heard it's not as dance oriented but there's a good collab with Lou Reed

[/quote]I haven't listened to it all yet, but I've liked what I've heard so far. Definitely different than their last album.
I am in love with this.
