Caryn Lynn Wheeler, 21, our loving daughter, entered into heaven to be with her precious angels on Friday, Aug. 8, 2008. She was her mother's Sunshine and her father's Chicadee.
Born Feb. 14, 1987, in Norwich, she was the daughter of Harry W. Wheeler of East Haddam and Yvonne (Emery) Macha of Dayville.
Caryn attended Montville schools before moving to East Haddam in the sixth grade, where she would go on to graduate from Nathan Hale-Ray High School in 2005.
She went on to study at Middlesex Community College, earning her certificate in veterinary assistance.
Caryn had a true passion for her music. She also enjoyed to paint, read and write, hike and fish and loved collecting fairies and turtles.
She leaves her mother, Yvonne (Emery) Macha of Dayville; her father, Harry W. Wheeler and her stepmother, Eileen (Svec) Wheeler, of East Haddam; her brother, Jeffrey M. Wheeler of Groton; and her sister, Tami M. Perez, of San Antonio, Texas. She was "Aunt Caryn" to Justine and Owen Wheeler of Ledyard and Kayla and Courtney Perez of San Antonio. She also leaves behind numerous aunts and uncles in Connecticut and Maine, as well as countless cousins and a few "special friends,"
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Calais, Maine.
