    Shit, thanks for reminding me....

I'm getting set up with Credo, so my options are limited:

    • LG Optimus S
    • Samsung Transform
    • Blackberry Curve 9330
    • LG Remarq
    • Sanyo 2700
    • Samsung Seek SCP
    • LG Rumor2
    • Samsung M330
    • LG 101

Credo's monthly fees seemed pretty steep to me when I looked.

What are you wanting from your phone? Just a decent camera, good voice call quality, and easy uploading of pics to FB?

I'd personally go for either the blackberry or the samsung transform but I might want more from my phone than you do.

Yea, I was looking and a smartphone requires a data plan, so fuck that. I just slimmed down my choices even more!

Credo's plans sound steep? Verizon is ridiculous. Anything is better. And Verizon supports the Tea-Party....so goodbye.

I would like a decent camera, but I'm not gonna connect to the internet with my phone. Just pics, texting, and talking. Definitely no connecting to FB.

Over all I'd still say the blackberry would be a decent choice for you. Battery life is pretty good, the camera is decent quality, and call quality has been good on the two models I've had. The one Credo offers doesn't have a flash which would be a PITA in bars potentially (but maybe you don't hang out at dive bars with shit lighting like I used to ) so that's something to consider if the camera means a lot to you. I know it says on the review that photo quality is "poor" but that's really because some of the phones out at the same time had much higher res cameras. For what it is (a 2mp), it's decent.
The Remarq also looks like it'd be a good fit for you. If you don't already have a qwerty kb on the phone you're using, it's nothing short of amazing for texting. Again, the camera isn't great compared to some of the higher end phones but it's not like it's so low-res that you're gonna look like a bunch of pixels or anything.

Oh and you might want to look into Sprint vs Credo since iirc Sprint owns them anyway. Their (sprint) $69.99 plan includes unlimited texting, data, and calls to any mobile phone. So even if 450 minutes doesn't seem like "enough" for you, consider how much you call other cell phones, too. With Credo, you're paying $40/mo just for the 450 minutes and then you have to add in a texting plan ($16/mo for unlimited) and you'd be burning your minutes even calling other cell phones. :-/

NM. now that I'm looking at it, the BB would require you to sub to a data plan on credo. And in fact, from the wording, it looks like you'd have to have a data plan to be able to send people pics.
Unlimited Mobile Web Plan – Non-smartphones
Check your email and browse the web. Take pictures and send them to your friends, right from your phone.

HTC Evo. But you have to have a data share plan.

I send pics now, I just do it with text-pics. But the BB does require a plan. Fucking lame. I guess I will just avoid the smartphones.

Considering I only have a limited choice of phones and I don't want/need a data plan...um....thanks for that?

Gonna check this out. I need a qwerty keyboard, but I do like to take pics a lot, so camera resolution would be nice. I'm happy with my phone to be honest. Until it got old.

I'm gonna check out Sprint plans. I was looking at Credo cause it's run by hippies, so I'll support them if I can.
