Does the dough come out of one of those exploding cans? I wish they sold that shit here, it fascinates me for some reason.

Those things make me anxious and twitchy. I refuse to open them. I also hate balloons. Shit that can explode with little to no warning makes me crazy.

Making patio beans/calico beans in the crock pot today. Some recipes say to cook longer for better flavor, others say cooking too long makes it mushy. Fuck. I don't know how long to cook them

I'm not much of a cooker, but those can biscuits are disgusting.

Those pillsbury frozen biscuits are much better.

I remember watching my grandma handmade biscuits every single day. She was Cajun. Homemade biscuits, always some rice and beans. Always.

I make a lot of homemade breads and such. I am sincerely interested in what the difference would be between heating up the oven for canned biscuits and heating up the oven for homemade biscuits? The actual mixing/rolling of biscuits takes about 2 minutes, so no big whoop there.

On a side note, if you don't want to heat up the house the best way to make homemade bread is to use a bread machine. Mine produces no noticeable heat. I make all kinds of bread in it. I bought it on a whim 4 years ago and it is amazing. I had never used one before I bought it, but it is amazing!

I will send you all of ours and you can send them back in ziplock bags. I had one open and the metal end hit my knuckle and gave me a nice lil cut hurt so bad.

My gram used to make buns for Easter and I have been craving them so bad. Of course she doesn't remember her recipe and it wasn't written down. Guess I'll just use a random recipe off a site.

We will make Pillsbury rolls occasionally, but I really prefer yeast rolls. Of course. The thing that take hours to fix. I agree about the bread machine. One of the "Inventions of the century"

I've seen this posted all around facebook, so I decided to make it. It was f'ing amazing....and so easy. My whole house smelled like heaven yesterday. Just the smells made you hungry.

    Crockpot chicken fajitas

    Crock Pot Chicken Fajitas
    1 yellow onion, sliced
    3 sweet peppers, sliced
1 ? pounds boneless chicken breast or thighs
1/4 to ? cup chicken broth, depending on preference (leave this out if you prefer a drier fajita filling)
    ? teaspoon salt
    2 tablespoons cumin
    1 ? tablespoons chili powder
    Squirt of lime juice
    Tortillas
    Fajita fixings
Combine sliced onion and peppers in the bottom of a greased crockpot.
Lay chicken on top of veggies.
    Pour chicken broth over top.
Sprinkle everything with cumin, salt, and chili powder.
Give a nice quirt of lime juice over the top.
Cover and cook on low for 4-8 hours (or on High for 4 hours) or until meat is shreddable.
When meat is done, shred with two forks and stir back into juices. Serve meat mixture with slotted spoon on tortillas with your choice of fixings.
NOTE: You can forgo the salt, cumin, and chili powder and instead use Homemade Taco Seasoning or Homemade Fajita Seasoning. If you want to use a pre-made seasoning, try Holgrain Fajita seasoning from Vitacost – it’s free of MSG and it’s non-GMO. Use my referral link for $10 off your first $30 order!

**See also, Crock Pot Beef Fajitas.**

THM Compliant: This is an S meal if you use thighs/breast and sour cream, shredded cheese, or guacamole. If you desire an E meal, use chicken breast, 0% Greek yogurt, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and go easy on the cheese. Use plan-approved tortillas for serving.

Here's the web site I've been checking out. Really easy crock pot stuff on there. She even has step by step pictures.

I made crockpot santa fe chicken and it was tasty.

    4 chicken breasts
    1 can corn
    1 can black beans
2 cans green diced chilies (the little cans)
    2 cups salsa
cook on low for 5 hours, 30 minutes before it's ready plop in a package of cream cheese and then stir it in once it melts a little.

I've made a few variations of this (adding mushrooms or hominy instead of beans) and using jalapeno cream cheese. All pretty nom.

    I'm not taking no pictures.

I got my turkey and a turkey breast resting in brine. Basically, it's a lot of salt, peppercorns, and tons of herbs. The house smelled divine when it was simmering. The turkey's will be DEEP fried.

I made my two pan of cornbread up today. It's for the southern cornbread dressing. Yumm. I don't do bread slices or crackers. All cornbread for me. Tomorrow the chicken will get cooked, along with all the celery and onions. I'll make everything and put it up until everybody gets back from Louisiana. Sweet potatoes and green bean casserole won't get done until that actual day.

I have a apple crumble pie and a lemon meringue pie.

My husband always makes the gravy. My deviled eggs are almost made up. The eggs are boiled anyway....the filling will have to wait until that day.
