I can't remember where but I once saw a lawyer say never ask your client if they're guilty. :lol: There are just some things you are better off not knowing.

I'll be honest with you here:
If I was on trial for murder in a death penalty case, and the prosecuter had my bloody fingerprints on the wall next to the victim, I'd want that evidence excluded too!
Ma'am, what is hard to explain about a person breathing or not breathing? what is so difficult? why is that a difficult concept for you?
I'm always the Devil's advocate (why did I capitalize devil that was weird - but it stands)... but bloody fingerprints, if I put myself in her place, can be explained away. Yes, (get ready for gross) menstrual blood is different than blood from a cut, vein, whatever, she could still say that she cut herself shaving, or even worse (better?) that Travis had been abusive and had beaten, bloodied and/or just simply slapped her in order to make her bleed ... like nosebleed, lip laceration, etc.
I've been here in the discussion before and have never been biased, though it seems I may have been having read my earlier posts. But I do believe she committed this crime. She's icky on camera and I kinda wish I were jailed (for like, maybe parking tickets lol) at the time she'd first been arrested with her just to see if she's the sociopath I believe her to be. In demeanor she is soft-spoken, self-assured, and many other hyphenated adjectives.
I love this thread so so much. Can't wait til trial.

It seems the defense is trying to disqualify the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office from prosicuting Jodi's case. I went and looked again today and found this:

1. No later than Friday, February 12, 2010, each party shall file a pre-hearing

intangible items or other things the party intends to present at the hearing.
2. Failure to file a pre-hearing statement as required by Order No. 1 above

I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like to even spend one night in Maricopa County. I think if I were her, I would have already found a way to hang myself with the only sheet they give you.
If not Maricopa County, then who would, or could? Also, does it appear that the trial may be moved to Cochise County? Also, it's currently scheduled to begin on August 16th.

She needs to be tried in Maricopa. Period. This case is not so widely broadcast that everyone knows about it, anyway. I just left Maricopa county, and I never talked to anyone that knew about this.
I doubt very highly that Yavapai or Coconino are going to take this case. That shit is going to stay right where it is in Maricopa. Hell, Arpaio isn't going to let ANY publicity go that he feels could be coming his way.

It's probably got you really anxious to see what happens here. You sound as if you have some understanding of some of the people in the system there. Even if it's just knowing how a person usually works, can perhaps take some of the speculation out of the mix.

I am quite familiar with the courts and jails in Maricopa, Yavapai, and Coconino. I also feel that any publicity, even bad, is something that Arpaio thrives on.
I have talked to a lot of people in Maricopa County that have never even heard of this case. How is this possible?
I have certainly seen more about it on the web than I have the news, though.

I don't know how that works exactly since this crime was so horrible, but it has. There isn't any reason for the judge to move it to Yavapai or Coconino. There are enough people that would be in the jury pool that have no clue about this case at all.
