Sorry. There are some updates scattered throughout. On post # #12951 I did a summary of the what happened at trial. Many people have posted the youtube updates of the trial. Some people have posted some background information on the witness that was on the stand. During the trial, some people update on what is going on in real time for those that can't watch the trial. Then a few people throw in some silliness to keep the thread from being so depressing. As far as another thread, or sub thread, an mod came on and said NO that it was not going to happen...so I guess we can't start another thread.

Does anyone know who the guy is that Jodi supposedly lived with for several years? I don't recall hearing him mentioned much anywhere. Everyone else that has been involved in Jodi's life has come out in some form or another. I would think he would have a lot of interesting info to add.

His name is Harry Darryl Brewer. She lived with him and his child for 4 years, they bought a house together in palm desert. The people that knew them together said there is nothing to suggest that Jodi is psycho, she was kind and loving and full of life. She was supposed to be on her way to take pictures of his sister's baby or something during that trip.

Is this really a thing? Does anyone know if there are any cases where it would appear that the prosecutor's (un)likability appeared to have had an effect on the outcome of the case? I know a lot of people said Ashton was arrogant, but I thought it was the charges (not his personality) that dicked it all up. I don't think he's threatened by the witness. If he was, it seems like he wouldn't be up there making a big show of it all. I guess it's a difference in interpretation, because I think that aggression is intended to emphasize the ridiculousness of the guy's claims.

Yes, he can do his job without being a dick, but Jodi could have gotten dumped without stabbing and shooting a man. No pussyfooting around it. I kind of wanted to throw up when Nurmi was giving Leslie Udy that shit-eating grin when she took the stand. It's just...an angry case.

Martinez has a high conviction rate. I don't think the jurors here in Arizona are put off by his demeanor at all. We have little tolerance for people who commit crimes and I think that most people here still believe in that whole "old west justice".
