Blech.  They could have done something way cooler and more tense with the vampires coming into the bar.  In the book, it's a much better moment. There was no reason to rush through it to watch Jason being a moron some more and then fuck yet another chick.

In the books it doesn't bother me that she's vain.  I imagine listening to guys think things like that about you might make one's ego a bit overinflated.  I also don't think she's quite an idiot, but she certainly isn't merely naive either.  It's almost like a disorder, isn't it?

Jason is utterly boring.  I get it, he's hot, and everyone wants to see him nekid.  Fine.  That can be done in five minutes. 
Tara is so predictable.  From the drunken mother to the crush on Jason to her angry woman routine--nothing there seems new or even important to the main storylines.  She did redeem herself for me in the sixth (?) episode when she was taking care of Sookie.  That was kinda sweet and I could actually see them as friends.
Bill is so maudlin as to be dull.  Dull, dull, dull!  I've never seen such a dull vampire.  Someone else said it earlier, but we get it.  Blood taking is sex to Bill.  Move on!

I have a feeling when they showed the preview for the next episode, the hand that reaches from underground and grabs Sookie is Bill.

So Sam is the dog.  Hmm.  I guess him smelling Dawn's sheets makes more sense now.

Why does he live in a trailer if he owns a bar?  Is he the owner of just the manager? (I have no idea why that detail is of importance to me  :lol:).

Amy reminds me of every girl Marisa's father (besides myself) ever dated.  Stupid, loose blouse, over wearing bead bracelets, rich and retarded art fucks.

I was really surprised when she picked a CD out of Jason's collection and it was Cowboy Junkies.  I expected him to have something lame, like Limp Bizkit in his collection.

I'm kind of interested to see how Tara's mom is going to act now that her demon is gone, and to see if Tara decides to see the lady in the bus to get rid of her "demon" (which from what voodoo woman was describing, appears I have the same demon myself).

Sam owns Merlotte's, as well as several other trailers around town.  It basically is never explained why he lives so humbly: I just imagine it's connected with his 'supernatural' origins, and his closeness to nature/animal instincts, which make him not care about shit like that.

In the books, he shapeshifts into whatever animal he looks at before it's time to change.  His shapeshifting is always by will unless it's the full moon.

Also Jason's newest ho, like I mentioned earlier, is straight out of the Allen Ball Box of Intellectual Art Girls.  He obviously knows what's up with those chicks and seeks accuracy.

And as for the demon...i'm really pissed that it looks like Ball is going to make Tara actually consider this possible, since she's like the 'smart chick' on the show.  Plus, I was under the impression her crush on Jason died when he hit Sookie.

I'm really hoping that Amy doesn't turn into a recurring character because her dialogue alone was cringe worthy.  I almost felt Jason's fiend for the juice while she was talking and not getting to what the whole point of her being there.
