I dunno what goes on over there, but the kids here abe being coddled to death.
In some places they stopped having "winners" and "losers" in baseball and soccer games.
I mean cricket and football, sorry.
They just play without keeping score, that way everyone wins!
But the shit is ridiculious.

Well they say "What about the kids that lose? What does that do to their self-esteem?"
So these kids are growing up with no sense of competition, and think that the world is fair.
It's come up in studies, that it's starting to effect the workplace. The kids that grew up without a 'drive to win' are suffering now that they have to deal with real world issues.
We used to dominate the Olympics, but those days are just about over cause China raises their kids to kick ass.
It's starting with athletics, but once it inevitably moves to academics then the country is officially tanked.
I HATE sports are like this now!! My son has played coaches pitch for 2 years now and last season we only won 2 games. His coach got on my last nerve bc he kept saying "it's only about having fun" blah blah...BULLSHIT!! Playing a sport is about WINNING!! You might not win them all...but dammit give them something more to try for. Besides...I didn't pay $75 for my kid to have fun! I paid for him to learn how to play ball...to learn competitiveness...to win AND to have fun doing it.
