They had a girl come in, and Janice was saying she was too hot for modelling, and pretty much "insulting" her by telling her she's more of a pin-up girl than a fashion model.
A Maxim look not a fashion look. So she was turning her away.
Janice's business partner and her son both gave the girl the THUMBS UP but Janice kept saying no.
I realized that the fashion industry isn't a place for straight men. It's for women and gay dudes to both tell me what looks good.
And sadly I changed the channel.

There's definitely a big difference between the criteria for high fashion modelling (geared towards showing off the designer's clothing), and criteria for pin-up/glamour modelling (Maxim, etc. -- basically modeling that is geared towards getting more... sexual [forgive me if that's not the right word] attention). And supposedly, Janice knows best. :|

Tall, skinny models look better in high fashion clothes that you or I would not wear in public. Like Sauce said, it's to show off someones artistic work, the clothes fit better and drape.
