Noway, one of the best nights I had was at a gay club on the Gold Coast, my god it was awesome. They are so much fun. Got hit on by some lesbians, danced the night away with some dude wearing a gumby shirt, he was the gayest of gay, I was loving it. I loved it that much I drank until I gave myself alcohol poisioning :/ Spewing down the main street of the Gold Coast is classy :/

Give me a nice dive bar with reasonably priced drinks and a good jukebox and I'm thrilled.
You tend to meet people easier in a dive, too. If I go out I'm generally looking for good conversation over a few beers and some good music to listen to and I've found that you can't casually talk to people in clubs.

Well when you think "dive" bar, it means a bit cheaper and dirtier than the average bar.
You can usually judge the level of dive bar-ness by the cleanliness of the bathrooms.
