You shouldn't be turned away because you're ugly or old or fat or whatever. You're paying. How insulting is it to tell someone that you don't want their money because of the way they look?

It would be better for the country if places like mcdonalds used this tactic. I would actually appreciate that. "sorry, fatty, you don't need a milkshake. Come back when you lose 50."

of course this is about that girl and what she was told.  my point is people get turned away for various reasons. it happens every night in most spots.  nobody ever wins a lawsuit or gains anything, only lost time.

I was being facetious.  If homeboy wants to turn away clientele, that's his business.  Not everybody has the same standards of what's "ok" or attractive.  I was just saying, some people think fat people are fug, some people think bald guys are fug, some people think people with glasses are fug....

Would I turn away business because of what I found attractive?  I dunno.

I DO know that I think it's hilarious this happened in Jersey.  Home of some of the biggest sweatiest hairiest grease balls in the US.  :lol:  I'm sure those guys were allowed entrance though.  Gotta keep the shot girls working.  :lol: :lol: :lol:

OK. Speaking as a fat girl, I would probably be pissed, DEFINITELY embarrassed if it were me. On the other hand, I think dance clubs are incredibly lame and I'd rather go to a bar. I agree that clubs will always turn away who they want for being (according to whoever) fat, bald, crosseyed, ugly, bucktooth, a terrible dresser, whatever. This is really no different, but again...it's rather embarrassing and I don't understand why they should care as long as the fat chicks have fat wallets.

We have had the same thing with cocktail waitress. They might look good when they start but after 15 20 years, the casinos might start laying them off. Just because they are not longer the figure or as pretty as they once were. Every once in awhile it will hit the front page, about discrimination.

But then again there is a 88 year old stripper still dancing in one of the towns outside of Vegas.

ETA: I have never been to Vegas, but every time I go to a casino, my cocktail waitress looks like a Waffle House waitress. I didn't know they turned any away.  :2upset:

You already know that I hate fat kids so this story won't come as a surprise:  I was working at a Chinese fast food joint in the food court at the mall when a fat kid came up to order a cherry slushy.  I said, "Wouldn't you rather have a Diet Coke?"  He looked at me, blinked a few times and said, "No, I want the cherry slushy."  Hey, I tried.

Look, if I owned a club, I would want it to be known to be the hottest club around, wouldn't be hard if I opened one in Perth, and I would refuse certain people entry. I would refuse a really huge obese fat bird, I can see how it would be bad for business. Please don't bad karma me.
