Hahahaha. I am sure that I WANT to, but I am also sure that I am too afraid to.  cry We were going to go there once while we were up north, but kinda chickened out, hahaah.

Just drive straight down Broadway, you'll get the drift.  cheesy

Although there is an awesome store there that sells all sorts of cool stuff, including wigs (which I love).

I killed a turtle when I was a kid. I thought if I cracked his shell that he would be wearing suspenders and boxer shorts with little hearts like in the cartoon.

Cool links - thank you.

Amazing what gets left behind.

I've gone to do a few abandoned houses near me but there is such a housing shortage here they have been moved in to, which has to be a good thing!

My ex used to live in this house in "old Astoria".  It's like 150 years old.  The inside is carved up into 6 apartments.  It's also haunted as fuck.  They redid the exterior but the interior is falling apart.  It's sad, you can see how beautiful it must've been. (the pic is an old one)

Triplepostwhoa.

PCP, you might like this.  It's the Rossville Boatyard on Staten Island, technically "the end of NYC" geographically.

Marking. Also I'm super excited that I have something to do for the rest of the day while I'm alone in the office. Working is a total no go for me today.

Incredible. This link came from yours http://oboylephoto.com/boatyard/index2.htm

Awesome pics. Can't believe someone wouldn't want to develop this shoreline property.

The ships are way cool - they seem to make such beautiful photographs.

http://www.kiddofspeed.com/default.htm  I was off on a differant tangent in my hunt and found this bike riders view of nuclear areas in Russia - interesting, especially the last chapters in the children's day care.

You can see the tiny gas masks - very sad.

This led me to Nevada, reminded me of old favourite horror movie - The Hills have eyes.  Not a traditional abandoned place but weird still.  All those dummies are so strange.  I've got one in my shed, I had to move it outside because when it was in the house it kept scaring visitors - even though it has no arms or head.  Abandoned dummies are another sub catagory.  Hmmmmm.... abandoned dummies on abandoned ship...  Glasses
