Homicide detectives are investigating a murder-suicide that left two people dead Sunday morning.
Kimberly Thomas, 53, died after police say she was shot by a man inside a home on Pine Tree Street West before 9:30 a.m. Columbus police were called to the home after family members were unable to get ahold of their mother.
After allegedly shooting Thomas, police say the 54-year-old man took his own life. Both were pronounced dead at 10:17 a.m.
The man was later identified as Romie Ziegler by Columbus Police.
