Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and son passed away on May 8, 2019 from complications of cancer with his family by his side.

Rob was born in Ogden, Utah to Robert Lynn and Detta Dabling. He grew up in Roy, Utah. He shared many adventures with his friends, "The Roy Boys." That is a friendship that continued into adulthood.

Rob married the love of his life, Cindy Lou Paskett, on September 4, 1981 in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. They shared 38 years full of laughter, teasing, and memories together. They were also blessed with three amazing, "heathen" children. He supported them fiercely.

Rob was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. His true hunting love was waterfowl. His weekends were often spent at the Chesapeake Duck Club with his many hunting buddies or wife and sons. He also loved camping with his family and was exceptional at pointing out any wildlife he saw. Rob loved sports and considered the four seasons to be hunting, football, basketball, baseball, then back to hunting. Rob's influence was far-reaching and he was loved by so many. His family is grateful for the shared love and support in grieving with them.

Rob's testimony and love of his Savior was felt by everyone around him. He served his Heavenly Father diligently on earth and we are certain he is continuing to do this in Heaven.

He is survived by wife, Cindy Lou Dabling, children, Michael Reuben (Andrea) Dabling, Mandy Sue (Derrick, the scum-in-law) Peck, Mitchell Robert (Julianne) Dabling, and six beautiful grandchildren whom he loved dearly; his mother, Detta Dabling; brothers, Monty Jay (Carolyn) Barnes, William Harry (Anita) Dabling and sister, Debi (Dave) Baxter. He is also survived by his two Labrador puppies, Moxie and Milo. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lynn Dabling. Although it was a short visit, we would like to express appreciation to all the staff and doctors we met along the way at IMC and LDS Hospitals. Their care was truly appreciated.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Jupiter Hills Ward, 3267 West 700 South, Syracuse. The family will meet with friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Mountain View Cemetery, Eden.
