The widow of renowned chef Justin Bull has said she doesn't believe her late husband would ever "intentionally leave" her and their son Felix, but a "clouded moment" meant he couldn't see a way forward.

Justine Kendall made the heartbreaking comments on social media after her husband of 14 years was found dead in his Huxton's eatery in the beachside suburb of Bronte in Sydney's east on Friday.

Bull, 46, had worked as a personal chef to film star Russell Crowe, billionaire James Packer and had cooked for the NSW Blues State of Origin side last year under Brad Fittler.

Mr Packer flew into Australia on Sunday and was spotted at the Crown Casino complex in Melbourne. While the reason for his visit is not known, it's understood his first visit to Australia in a year is to attend the funeral of his friend, Mr Bull.

Ms Kendall took to Instagram on Sunday to open up about her husband's death.

"I will do everything I can to make sure your memory stays alive with Lixy and he achieves and experiences all the things we talked so much about," she wrote.

"I believe you didn't intentionally leave us. But that in a clouded moment you just couldn't see a clear path through. I'm just so sorry I couldn't help you feel better, but I hope your mind is now at rest and you are at peace."
