Our beloved wife, sister, and friend, Carri Lynn Schlief, passed away February 12, 2018. She was born May 8, 1957 to Garth and Betty Lou Armstrong in St. Paul Minnesota. She was affectionately referred to as her dad's "Little Bratley". Carri married the love of her life, Jerry Schlief, on September 26, 1987 after moving to Utah in 1986.

Carri worked for Statewide Sales in Minnesota for seven years. In 1985 she began working as a flight attendant at Western Airlines which later merged with Delta Airlines. She continued working and traveling throughout the world as a flight attendant for the next 33 years. Some of the places that Carri traveled included South Africa, Amsterdam, Australia, Italy, Japan and Russia, just to name a few.

Carri served as the Secretary of the Utah Bass Federation. She and Jerry founded Catch-a-Cure for Cancer in 2001, a fundraising fishing tournament to benefit Camp Hobe, which is a summer camp for children with cancer and their siblings, that still continues today.

Carri will be remembered for her contagious smile, laughter, and unconditional love for others. She enjoyed a good fine wine and attending concerts and plays. She loved playing games and enjoyed seeing other people win. Carri loved to fish with her husband, and they had too many wonderful fishing memories to highlight just one. She had her own booth in an antique shop in Utah County. She loved sharing her creative gifts with family and friends, particularly at the holidays. Carri's true loves were fishing and her husband.

Carri is survived by her husband and best friend, Jerry, sisters, Cate Armstrong and Cindy Armstrong, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Garth and Betty Armstrong, and brother, Wayne Armstrong.

A remembrance service for Carri will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary in Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South, Riverton, Utah. Friends and family are welcome to visit from 12:30-1:45 p.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Hobe at www.camphobekids.org.
