Laura Marie (Kunz) Kobak, 38, of Riverton UT, died on January 24, 2018.

Laura's Instagram mantra perfectly describes her life: "Smile, be happy, eat cookies, have fun". Laura always had a smile on her face, a witty/sarcastic/funny remark on her tongue, and the energy to live a full and adventurous life.

Laura was born on July 26, 1979 to Garth and Susanne Kunz in Phoenix, Arizona. She is the 3rd of six siblings. Laura grew up in Taylorsville, Utah and graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1997. She went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in biology from the University of Utah in May, 2004. After a persistent job search, Laura began working at ARUP Laboratories as a Medical Technician in 2009. There, Laura met what would quickly become many sincere friends and confidants. She loved her co-workers as much, if not more, than the job itself.

Laura was a loving wife and mother. She married her husband Tony in August of 2002. The two of them met in college and were together from then on. They shared their fun wedding with their many family and friends, celebrating the future that lay ahead of them. At home, they pursued many remodeling projects with Laura providing the brains and Tony the muscle. Laura painstakingly attended to the detail work and could caulk a straight line like no one else.

Their sweet daughter Ava joined them October of 2006. Laura and Ava were inseparable -- two peas in a pod. They both love science, art, outdoors, and most often goofing off and acting silly. When the two of them weren't enjoying a sugar binge, you could find them painting, hiking, swinging, skiing, swimming and playing together.

Laura was preceded in death by her father Garth Jackson Kunz and brother Daniel Cleverly Kunz. Laura is survived by Tony, her loving husband of 15 years and daughter Ava, her mother Susanne Kunz and siblings: Leah (Adam) Zamora, Robert (Andrea) Kunz, Jacob (Allison) Kunz, Rebecca (Aaron) Kirton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
