Police arrested a man for murder after a beating death late Saturday night in Battle Ground.
Officers were dispatched about 11:30 p.m. to the Southeast Grace Avenue and Second Street on reports of a disturbance, police said.
Stephen M. Reichow, 33, was arrested at the scene and taken to the Clark County jail. He appeared Monday morning in superior court where his bail was set at $750,000.
Brandon D. Maulding, 36, died as a result of the attack with a baseball bat. He was struck on the front and the back of the head, according to court documents.
The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information was asked to contact Detective Kelly at 360-342-5242.
