CARTER HEHMAN MARANTETTE, JR. "CJ" (Age 29) On June 1, 2010 at his home in Reston, VA. Beloved son of Carter and Katharine Marantette of Reston; brother of Christopher and Alexa Marantette, both of Arlington, VA. Carter was a 1999 graduate of Herndon High School and earned his Bachelor''s degree of Science at George Mason University. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday June 7, 2010 at St. Thomas a'' Beckett Catholic Church 1421 Wiehle Ave., Reston, VA 20190; where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Interment to follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in CJ''s name to Special Olympics of Virginia, 3212 Skipwith Rd. Suite 100, Richmond, VA 23294 to honor his Aunt Ann and Uncle B. Arrangements by Adams-Green Funeral Home, Herndon, VA.

India Chapple (26) was stabbed to death by her estranged partner
In a preliminary hearing Monday, Judge Russell Canan ordered Tracy Mathis to be held without bond after the court found probable cause to believe the charge of second-degree murder. Mathis is suspected of stabbing and killing India Chapple in his home on April 19 in Southeast Washington.
Connele Pabo (13) and his mother Ann were beaten to death by Connele's father
Ann Pabo didn't know how to make a race car out of wood. But when her son, Connele, then a second-grader and Cub Scout, needed a Pinewood Derby car, she did her best.
