The body of a missing Riverside County mental-health worker was found in a Poway motel, and authorities are hunting for the man they are now describing as her boyfriend, a violent felon.

Christine Osborn-Stewart, 47, who had been missing since Saturday night, was found dead at the Best Western Country Inn in Poway. Riverside County Sheriff's investigators found her body at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, a news release said. It appeared Stewart was killed elsewhere, the release said.

Authorities are looking for Joseph Dorsey, 27, who is also a missing person. He is also now being considered a person of interest in Stewart's death.

Sheriff's Det. Robert Rosas said Thursday that he would not yet say how investigators tracked Osborn-Stewart to the motel or how they determined that Dorsey was Osborn-Stewart's boyfriend. Osborn-Stewart has lived for the past six years with Daniel "Blue" Loyle, the father of her five stepchildren. Osborn-Stewart had three boys of her own.

Osborn-Stewart and Dorsey were last seen together near a business complex on Railroad Canyon Road in Canyon Lake.

Dorsey is believed to be driving a 1994 dark blue Ford Explorer with a gray hood and fender, license plate number 6UDY773.

Dorsey pleaded guilty to attempted burglary in June and was released on parole. In October 2006, he pleaded guilty to inflicting injury on a spouse or co-habitant, assault with a deadly (non-firearm) weapon with great bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer or firefighter and battery on a peace officer. He was sentenced to three years in prison.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to call Riverside County Central Homicide Detective James Merrill at 951-955-2777 .
