Betsy Goodale has been posthumously promoted to Vice President of Suicide.org. She will also assume an honorary position on the Suicide.org Board of Directors.

Ms. Goodale died by suicide on December 8, 2008. She served as the Vice Top Moderator in the Suicide.org Forum; served on the Suicide.org Advisory Board; was a special advisor to Kevin Caruso (the Executive Director of Suicide.org); and assisted with countless Suicide.org programs.

"Betsy Goodale was, unquestionably, one of the top people in our organization," said Kevin Caruso, "but, more importantly, was one of the nicest, most caring, and most loving individuals I ever met.

"She was an angel; she was one of my closest friends; and she was my sister," continued Caruso. "I deeply miss her -- we all deeply miss her. She was very special and we were all highly honored to have known her."

In addition to Ms. Goodale's promotion to Vice President, the position of Vice Top Moderator in the Suicide.org Forum will be permanently retired.

"Betsy did a sensational job in the forum," said Caruso. "She worked extremely hard, putting in countless hours as she reached out to help other suicide survivors. And she always kept an eye on things. I trusted her implicitly.

"On behalf of the entire Suicide.org family, I would like to thank Betsy for her hard work, for her dedication, and, most of all, for the love that she gave us," added Caruso.

"We love you, Betsy, and we deeply miss you. You will ALWAYS be our sister, close friend, and Vice President.

"We love you very much."
