Dennis Marc Olmstead of Springport,

Passed away as the result of a motorcycle accident, June 27, 2012 at the age of 41. He was born in Lansing January 30, 1971 the son of Kenneth and Juanita "Jackie" Olmstead. Dennis was a 1990 graduate of Eaton Rapids High School. He worked for Meridian Magnesium for the past 10 years. Dennis enjoyed working on cars, hunting, riding his 4-wheeler, working in his vegetable garden and being outdoors. He was a loving and caring person with a good heart and he will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Sherry (Goldsberry) Olmstead of Springport; son, Coty Olmstead of Eaton Rapids; daughter, Linsay (Justin) Hoyt of Germany; parents, Kenneth (Michael Ann) Olmstead of Muskegon; mother, Juanita "Jackie" Olmstead of Eaton Rapids; sisters, Dawn Olmstead, Debbie (Guy) Hengesbach; father and mother in-law, Don and Sue Goldsberry of Onondaga; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Denise Olmstead.

Funeral services will be 11 am Monday July 2, 2012 at the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, 518 S. Main St. Eaton Rapids. Interment will follow at Rosehill cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family to help with funeral expenses.
