Santana Michelle Barton, 18, of 2326 Moore's Lane, was born on Oct. 21, 1993 in Robeson County. She departed her life on May 16, 2012, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center as she succumbed to injuries from an automobile accident.

Santana was a student at Robeson Community College, with a smile that would brighten the darkest days. She was involved in the accident and her life was lost along with her cousin, Tracie Hunt (Find A Grave Memorial# 90323269) on May 16, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her aunt, Evelyn Hunt; maternal great-grandparents, Cleveland and Myrtle Carter; and paternal great-grandfather, Brady Hunt, all of Lumberton.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her mother, Mickey Carter and stepfather, Simbiran Locklear; sister, Sierra C. Locklear of the home; her father, Donald H. Barton of Lumberton; a stepsister, Simly Locklear and a stepbrother, Justin Hunt, all of Pembroke; her maternal grandparents, Dale Carter and Willie C. Carter of Lumberton; paternal grandparents, Donald R. Barton and Rose Barton; maternal great-grandparents, Jimmy and Mageline Locklear; paternal great-grandmother, Redell Hunt, all of Lumberton; two uncles, Deran Carter and Shane Carter of Philadelphia, Pa., who loved and cherished her dearly; she also leaves behind a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at Revels Funeral Home Chapel in Lumberton, the Rev. Kenneth Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
