Rescues crews in Tennessee discovered the body of a missing 17-year-old boy in the Elk River Sunday.

Officials said Adam Ventress was reported missing Saturday evening after going swimming in the Elk River around 12:30 p.m.

Search teams with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department, Fayetteville Police Department and the Lincoln County EMA assisted in the search for the swimmer until after 12 a.m. Sunday.

They resumed their search after daylight Sunday and recovered Ventress' body.
