A Pataskala woman was killed after she was thrown from her SUV during a crash on I-71 overnight.
Ashley N. Stevens, 23, was entering the freeway's southbound lanes from E. Dublin-Granville Road at 2:56 a.m. when she veered off the right side of the road and struck a steel guardrail, police said. Her Chevrolet Blazer swerved back onto the road, where it rolled.
Stevens, who was alone, died at the scene, police said.
As of today, Columbus has had 26 fatal crashes involving 30 deaths.
