Amber Lee Grimaldi, 23, of Williams Court, Wolcott, went to be with the Lord and angels Wednesday, Sept. 17. She died unexpectedly.
Miss Grimaldi was born March 4, 1985, in Waterbury, daughter of Christopher Christoff of Wolcott and Amy (Grimaldi) Geary of Wolcott. She attended Watertown High School and recently graduated from the Marrakech Academy of Waterbury with a certificate of human services. Amber was a caring person and always lent a helping hand to those in need. She loved music and was an animal lover.
Besides her father and mother, she is survived by her son, Jonathan Grimaldi; her stepfather Daniel Geary and stepmother Mary Christoff; her brother, Airman 1st Class Jerrid Christoff of Incirlik, Turkey; her sister Corey Christoff; all of Wolcott; her maternal grandfathers John Obiden of Wolcott and Joe Grimaldi of Forestville; her paternal grandparents, Anthony and June Christoff of Wolcott; her paternal stepgrandparents, Mel and Ann Pelletier of Cheshire and Judy and Bob Geary of Wolcott; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and her soulmate, Leonard Ismaili of Waterbury. She was predeceased by her grandmother, Vivian Obiden.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
