Desiree Worthington, 27, died March 24 from multiple complications with her heart.

Her family wrote: "A celebration of the life of Desiree Worthington will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011, Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary. Please make note of the time and arrive in Desi's honor at 2:10 p.m., as Des could never get anywhere on time!

"Desi left us on the morning of March 24 ... While the fantastic doctors and nurses at Providence ACCU have some big words for it, simply put, her heart was too big."

She was born in Anchorage, April 8, 1983, grew up here, attended our schools and her's, earning her GED.

In her too brief life she traveled and lived in the Southwest U.S. and in England.

Will, her brother who predeceased her, met her as she crossed, and she died with a smile on her exquisite face.

This is who Desi leaves behind, whom her passion was for: Conner, 4, William, 21 months, and Riley, 2

months, her boys; John Paul, her beloved man and best friend; Leah Mendonsa, sister; Maryane

Dougherty, mother; Eric Worthington, father.

Also saying goodbye is Gramma Lily Johnson; her aunt, Joy; John's Grandma Irene and large extended family from Sitka; Mark Mendonsa, "the extra husband," and his son Jonathan Mendonsa; her friend, Genia. She leaves her aunt, Sue Dougherty (godmother); and uncles, John, Tom (godfather) and Mike Dougherty.

"She loved her co-workers at United Freight and Transport, and her friends and former co-workers from Rowan Decorators & PartyWorld, her family also wrote. "Stray cats. Nature. The clerks at the Quicky Mart. The Simpsons. Everyone, she loved you all.

"She leaves so many behind, in her brief shining life: if you knew her and wish to honor her, come say 'see ya later' and tell your best story."
