Three young men have been arrested in the murder of a 17-year-old from suburban Northlake.
Police are accusing Mariusz Nowak, Christopher Gerken and Luis Lira of beating the teen to death and then putting his body in a dumpster and setting it on fire.
They have been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Eric Navarro. Police say the suspects killed Navarro in Northlake and then dumped his body in Chicago in an alley behind the 4200-block of West Washington.
The suspects reportedly have gang ties, but they have not revealed a motive.
Officers from Chicago and Northlake worked together to make the arrests.
